Most Common Mistakes in English
ইংরেজিতে সবচেয়ে বেশি যে ভূলগুলো পাওয়া যায় তার মধ্যে অন্যতম হলো-
১। Third Person Singular Number এর পর Verb এর সাথে -s বা -es ব্যবহার না করা।
Incorrect: He speak English very well.
Correct: He speaks English very well.
২। Negative এর ক্ষেত্রে doesn't এর পরিবর্তে don't ব্যবহার করা।
Incorrect: He don't care what he says.
Correct: He doesn't care what he says.
৩। Past tense এর ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Past form/ -d বা -ed না বসানো।
Incorrect: I receive your letter yesterday.
Correct: I received your letter yesterday.
৪। Third person singular number (he, she, it, যেকোন ১টি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর নাম) এর পরে verb এর শেষে -s বা -es বা -ies বসে।
যেমন- he works, it catches, the sun rises, she worries.
৫। First person বা Second Person বা Third person Plural Number এর সাথে যে সকল verb এর শেষে s, x, ch, sh, or o থাকলে Third Person singular number এর ক্ষেত্রে তাদের শেষে -es বসে।
